Biography – Bruce Searles
Bruce Searles has been an Accredited Delivery Partner for Benchmarking with the Australian Quality Council and is Director for Benchmarking Partnerships, who now own Australian Quality Council Benchmarking. He has delivered training and international presentations on benchmarking in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Russia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Seoul, Papua New Guinea and Taipei. Benchmarking Partnerships partner people in different organisations and different industries so that through shared learning and partnership networking they can rapidly improve. Bruce has facilitated over 70 different benchmarking studies involving over 800 organisations in Australia and Asia. Topics have included Innovation, Project Management, Risk Management, Senior Executive Leadership, Internal Communications, Leading and Managing Change, Telephone Call Centres, Supply Chain Management, Construction Industry, Food Risk Management and Safety, Client Service & Satisfaction. He is currently benchmarking resources person for the Asian Productivity Organisation helping to develop and implement a best practice benchmarking process for 20 Asian countries. He has facilitating benchmarking for the APO Best Practice Network on People Performance Management, Customer Service and Balanced Performance Measurement. The international topics he is now facilitating this year are Innovation Culture, How to do Local Benchmarking and Organisational Excellence for SMEs. He has also directly assisting National Productivity Organisations with a number of benchmarking topics and training on benchmarking in Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines and Malaysia. He is also involved in benchmarking partnerships with the APQC – American Productivity and Quality Centre, Singapore Productivity Association, Development Academy of the Philippines and the NZ Business Excellence Foundation.Bruce previously was a senior executive with NRMA Ltd in Public Affairs and International Best Practice Roles. NRMA was Australia’s largest General Insurance Company and also offered Financial and Motoring services. NRMA was the first service organization in Australia to win the Australian Business Excellence Award. His experience in Benchmarking extends back to the early 1980s when he carried out international benchmarking in Road Safety and Traffic Management. This benchmarking contributed to the Australian and State Governments and Industry implementing major road safety and traffic management improvements. Key clients - (HP) Hewlett Packard, BHP Billiton, Clayton Utz, Dept. of Emergency Services, Honeywell, Motor Accidents Authority, Toyota, Telstra, Country Energy, SMEs. Bruce is married with 3 adult children. He enjoys travel and plays baseball and golf. He also enjoys, with his wife Chris, a small country beachside village in Australia called Crescent Head. |
