This Workshop uses AXA as a very granular and detailed case study so that we can closely facilitate during the day your own first-cut roadmap and measurement framework for the actioning of your own plans within your own organisation. The workshop also draws on the experience of co-facilitators Rob Loader and Bruce Searles in working with a variety of other organisations in a variety of industries. You will be asked to bring along your organisation’s strategic plan so you can develop a relevant first-cut action plan with measures during the day. Rob will talk about the levels and types of governance deployed including governance bodies and the like ( eg. different approaches and levels of governance reporting according to project risk and complexity). He will discuss the roles of the Project Management Office, the tools and techniques to achieve Governance of Benefits Realisation. He will explain how AXA keep Governance simple and how they overcame the resistance of senior management. He will also discuss issues and problems faced and how they overcame them.
In terms of tools – Rob will explain the role of some of the key tools AXA use, particularly reporting tools, business case structures/contents and project bidding tools (linking to the strategy process).
